Amsterdam, September 7th, 2026. This week, Flora Food Group's Group CEO David Haines, alongside several senior leaders, welcomed Governor Kelly to the Flora Culinary Centre in Wageningen.
As the largest Netherlands-based employer in Kansas, Flora Food Group brings Dutch food science to American tables every day through its two production facilities in the state - Hugoton and New Century. From batch-churned Red Barn Creamery Butter, made with 100% American cream, to household names like Country Crock and I Can't Believe It's Not Butter, this is our purpose, Culinary Essentials for Better Food, in action.
None of this works without the State of Kansas as a partner. Since acquiring the Hugoton dairy facility in 2024, over 180 jobs have been brought to Stevens County. Investment continues in New Century as well – home to the largest spreads facility in the world.
