Upfield Polska has been recognised by the United Nations Global Compact Network Poland (UNGC) for its efforts to promote sustainability and address climate change. As active members of UNGC's Climate Positive program and Environment and Climate Protection team, Upfield has worked to highlight plant-based foods as a climate-friendly alternative.
In 2022, Upfield contributed to UNGC's report
"The Impact of the Climate Crisis on Consumer Decision-Making," which was presented at the COP27 climate conference. This report underscores the need for widespread changes in dietary patterns to lessen the food system's environmental impact. Upfield remains committed to sustainability as a core priority, actively engaging with UNGC as a Tier 1 stakeholder in Central/Eastern Europe. This includes participating annually in Pre-COP conferences hosted in Katowice, home to Upfield's largest European production plant.
This recognition from UNGC motivates Upfield to continue pursuing meaningful climate action and demonstrating sustainability leadership within the food industry.
